A woman has died on board a Qatar Airways flight en route to Sydney.
The 60-year-old, travelling on flight QR908 from Doha to Sydney on Friday afternoon, was found in an unresponsive state approximately halfway through the 14-hour journey.
A spokesperson for Qatar Airways confirmed the incident and shared condolences to the woman’s family.
“Regrettably, the lady could not be revived,” the spokesperson said.
“Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.”
It is understood crew members attempted to revive the passenger, performing CPR and using a defibrillator.
The flight landed in Sydney about 4.47pm on Friday.
The Australian Border Force and Australian Federal Police have been contacted for comment.
