Social media platform has yet to issue public statement detailing the cause of the outages
Elon Musk’s social media platform X was back up after a brief outage for users worldwide on Wednesday, according to Downdetector.com.
At its peak, there were more than 34,500 reports of issues with X in the United States, according to Downdetector, before coming down to 845 reports as of 11:39am ET.
Downdetector tracks outages by collating status reports from a number of sources. The actual number of affected users may differ from what is shown on Downdetector, as the reports are submitted by users.
Downdetector data showed reports of problems peaked in Pakistan at 8:08pm, when 177 users flagged issues.
This chart shows a view of problem reports submitted in the past 24 hours compared to the typical volume of reports by time of day.
Users from various parts of the world had reported difficulties in accessing the platform, with services intermittently unavailable.
NetBlocks earlier said the outage did not appear to be related to country-level internet disruptions or filtering.

X has yet to issue a public statement detailing the cause of the outages, but users have expressed frustration at the disruption of services, particularly in regions where the platform is a primary source of communication and news.
NetBlocks regularly tracks technical failures affecting major online services as well as government-imposed restrictions.
Last month, X briefly suffered international outages, disrupting access for users across multiple countries before services were restored later.
