Cricketer announces marriage to Nyla Raja, says he remains committed to his children from Sannia

Former Pakistan cricketer Imad Wasim’s ex-wife, Sannia Ashfaq, has come forward with a pointed response after the all-rounder publicly announced his remarriage, leveling allegations against him in the process.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Sannia accused her former partner of betrayal. She wrote, “Now everyone has seen the proof. This homewrecker never once thought about my kids. The cheater has finally been exposed and I want justice for my children and for everything we’ve been put through”.
Sannia’s accusations came in the wake of Wasim’s Instagram posts announcing his marriage to Nyla Raja. In a separate post on Instagram, Sannia wrote “In December 2023, he [Wasim] got my child aborted in Lahore.” She went on to write, “He’s a murderer, and I have a video that proves it. He cheated on me.”
Tagging Islamabad United, the Pakistan Super League team that Wasim plays for, Sannia wrote that the team “has given a chance to a murderer and a cheater.” She ended the post saying “no cheater or murderer should get an escape.”
Meanwhile, Wasim described the period after his first marriage’s collapse as “one of the hardest chapters” of his life, adding that his silence during that time had led to Nyla being unfairly criticised.
“With the grace of Allah and the guidance of my parents, I have now married Nyla. This step was taken thoughtfully and with clear intention, to build a life rooted in peace, stability and mutual respect,” Wasim stated. “Nyla has brought calm, dignity and strength into my life, and I stand by this decision with complete conviction”.
In his statement, the cricketer stated, “Above all else, my commitment remains to my children,” adding that fatherhood is not defined by provision alone, but by presence, love, and guidance. He added further, “Despite giving my utmost, I am still unable to see them,” expressing his desire to be “actively and meaningfully involved in their lives”.
Wasim had announced his divorce from Sannia back in December last year. The two had tied the knot in 2019 and are parents to three children.
