Shaheen Afridi shares wedding photos welcoming Ansha Afridi | The Express Tribune

Cricket star Shaheen Afridi and Ansha Afridi’s wedding festivities have become the stuff of fantasy as the frenzy on social media doubles while fans anxiously await the arrival of photographs from their undoubtedly star-studded event. Perhaps now the wait draws to a close.

Besides photos of the guests and attendees at the wedding, possibly the biggest speculation has been surrounding the bridegroom’s official photoshoot in hopes of getting a glimpse of the bride. While in order to maintain Ansha’s privacy, her pictures have not made it to public social media channels, it seems that the official photographer for the wedding, Fatima Tariq, has released a set of pictures of the newlyweds.

In a classic monochromatic moment, Fatima and her team shared a set of two photographs that display a love-struck Shaheen as he admires what can only be presumed to be a wedding ring on Ansha’s henna-adorned hand. The second photograph, although revealing even less, gives eager fans a glimpse of the couple’s intertwined fingers as only Shaheen’s shoulder is portrayed in an out-of-focus background.

As wedding festivities draw to a close, the Lahore Qalandars captain takes to Instagram in a first wedding related post to thank his guests for attending and, ultimately, welcoming his “special one.” Sharing the photograph of the two hand-in-hand, along with a second photo with now father-in-law, Shahid Afridi, the cricketer pens, “Thank you, everyone, for the warm and lovely wishes. Here is to the beginning of love and laughter with the special one,” capping off his caption with a classic single red heart emoji.
