Three people have shared the Oz Lotto division one jackpot of $90m that was drawn Boxing Day evening with all three winning tickets coming from NSW.
The owner of each winning ticket will receive a life changing $32,629,794 each, there were also 31 division two winners who will each pocket a handy $52,070.
In total there were 1,995,230 winners with a total prize pool of more than $150m.
Of the three winners, two have been contacted, with one person out there potentially not knowing they are in possession of a $32m ticket.
The ticket, which was registered, belongs to a Cumberland Shire player, in Sydney’s western suburbs and was purchased at a local outlet.
The Lott’s Matt Hart said the company was keen to get a hold of the winner after multiple attempts to get into contact had failed.
“We were ready to confirm the third Oz Lotto division one winner straight after the draw tonight, but sadly whenever we called the number provided, it just rang out and went straight to message bank,” he said.
“If you see a number of missed calls on your phone from Tuesday night, you could be the mystery multi-millionaire we’re urgently trying to contact.
“We’re urging all Oz Lotto players to check their entries as soon as possible. If you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket, contact The Lott immediately on 131 686 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
A father from Sutherland Shire, in southern Sydney, got the surprise of his life when he received the call from The Lott, initially thinking he had only won $32,000.
“What! Thirty-two million?” he said during the call.
“I read it as $32,000. I didn’t read it properly. That is so awesome. That is insane. That’s crazy.
“I saw there was a big draw tonight and I just thought, ‘stuff it, I’m going for it’. I can’t believe it. This type of thing doesn’t happen to someone like me.”
The man said taking care of his loved ones was his priority with his winnings.
“I want to buy a house, set the kids up and enjoy a holiday overseas,” he said.
“Family is everything to me.”
The third and final lucky winner was a Campbelltown man who doesn’t consistently play the lotto.
“Oh my god!” he said when he received the call.
“I can’t believe it. I’m shaking. I sometimes play, and today I saw there was a $90m draw, so I just grabbed a ticket this afternoon.
“I can’t believe it. It’s a dream come true.”
The man said an early retirement was now in his and his wife’s sights.
“It’s not just for myself but my entire family. Some of my family have been going through hard times lately and this is going to be a huge help,” he said
“This is such a wonderful thing. My wife and I work very hard, but I think an early retirement is on the cards, along with helping our children and family.”
The winning numbers in Tuesday night’s draw were 17, 44, 22, 42, 31, 24 and 28 with supplementary numbers 3, 16 and 39.
