The Balochistan government has announced a significant step towards economic self-sufficiency by approving the establishment of the Bank of Balochistan. The decision was made during a high-level meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, where an initial feasibility report was presented and deemed viable.

The CM directed officials to prepare a comprehensive operational plan for the bank’s establishment within one week. He stated that the Bank of Balochistan would be a revolutionary step aimed at providing high-quality and accessible banking services to the province’s citizens, traders, industrialists and investors. The initiative will not only boost economic activity but also create job opportunities for the youth.

“The Bank of Balochistan will prove to be a historic milestone in stabilising the provincial economy and will accelerate the pace of development projects by utilising local resources,” Bugti said.
