Actor shares an emotional tribute to her character and thanks viewers, co-stars and the drama’s team for their support
Actor Kinza Hashmi has said goodbye to her Leader character, Rubab Agha, in an Instagram post marking the end of the political drama’s run.
Hashmi shared a carousel of behind-the-scenes pictures and production clips featuring her character, alongside a farewell note reflecting on her time as Rubab. “What a rollercoaster this journey has been. It feels strange knowing I won’t be stepping into Rubab’s world again,” she wrote.
Reflecting on the experience, Hashmi said the character had become a meaningful part of her journey.
“I lived her, felt her, and somewhere along the way, a little part of her stayed with me,” she wrote, before thanking viewers for their support. “The way you all loved and supported LEADER means more than I can put into words. Thank you for being a part of this beautiful journey with us.”
Hashmi also thanked the director, her co-stars and the entire Leader team, signing off with, “Yeh safar hamesha yaad rahega.“
Leader premiered on March 28 and revolved around politics, love and resilience, with a story centred on standing against injustice.
Hashmi played Rubab, a woman of strength and pride whose heart was tested by political turmoil and love, while Ali Raza played Mansoor, a determined voice who stood against every challenge.
The drama also marked the first on-screen pairing of Hashmi and Raza, whose chemistry drew praise from fans following the release of the trailer.
Hashmi is known for Ishq Tamasha (2018) and Ruposh (2022), while Raza has earned praise for Meesni (2023) and Dastak (2025).
