Candice Warner has shared details of an embarrassing incident for cricketer husband David at Los Angeles International airport.
According to Mrs Warner, David was stopped and forced to undergo a full body search after an airport security scanner revealed a hot spot on his testicles.
Speaking on Triple M’s Rush Hour with Gus, Jude and Wendell, Candice said the couple were going through security on the way home from Miley Cyrus’ Mum’s wedding.
“All of a sudden his balls lit up,” laughed Mrs Warner, comparing the image on the x-ray machine to the famous ‘Hot Spot’ technology used in cricket.
“I’d never seen this about my husband, I didn’t know he had hot balls,” she added cheekily.
The couple were eventually allowed to board their plane home after David was searched by airport staff.
Dr Sam, the Triple M’s Rush Hour medical expert, speculated Mr Warner might have had a piercing his wife wasn’t aware of which triggered the alarm.
“No, no, there’s no piercings,” insisted Mrs Warner, laughing it off.
The Warners had been in LA to celebrate the wedding of Miley Cyrus’ mother Tish to Aussie actor Dominic Purcell.
David is expected to play a starring role for the Australia team at the 2023 Cricket World Cup, due to start in India in October.
