Titan’s Helios is eyeing a 39% growth in regional sales as premium watch purchases during festive season are expected to pick up in eastern India.
On September 6, the watch retail chain unveiled its festive line-up in Kolkata with 14 global brands.
Rahul Shukla, vice-president and CSMO, watches division, Titan Company, said the months leading up to the Durga Puja have always seen sales increase. “Festive and wedding season is the time for gifting and much of the sales comes in through this,” he told The Hindu.
“West Bengal, a State rooted in deep tradition and cultural pride, has been at the heart of our growth in the East. This Puja, as the State comes alive with festive fervour, we see consumers embracing premium watches with even more enthusiasm,” Mr. Shukla said.
Helios, which posted ₹700 crore in revenue last year, is targeting ₹1,000 crore this fiscal and aims to double the business to ₹2,000 crore in three years. “Our plan is to add roughly 50 stores nationally this financial year. We have already launched around 20,” Mr. Shukla said.
He said much of the sales is driven by Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Premium brands such as Frederique Constant, Aigner, Herbelin, Charriol, U-boat, Seiko, Versace, and multiple brands from Titan showcased their exclusive collections on September 6.
