With the aim of providing a competitive platform for professional cricketers and emerging talent across Telangana, Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) on Monday announced the launch of Telangana T20 League.
The tournament will see teams from various regions of the state take part.
HCA has named a seven-member governing council for the same, which comprises T. Basvaraju (Joint Secretary), Sunil Agarwal (Councillor), Parth Satwalekar (Indian Players Association), Rajashekhar Dastagar (Councillor representing CAG), C. Sanjeev Reddy and V. Agam Rao (members selected from the AGM list) as well as Imtiaz Khan (CEO).
“The Telangana T20 League is a significant step toward nurturing local talent and providing them with exposure at a competitive level. We are committed to building a strong cricketing ecosystem in Telangana and inspiring the next generation of players,” acting president Sardar Daljeet Singh said.
Details like the number of teams, tentative dates of the event and more will be when revealed after governing council meets in the coming days.
