Singer Hazim Bangwar, known for his impactful community endeavours, has added another feather to his cap. In an exhilarating announcement on his social media handle, Hazim revealed his acceptance into the prestigious Harvard University for a master’s degree programme.

With excitement brimming, he tweeted, “I’m beyond ecstatic to share this! Getting accepted into Harvard University for Masters is a dream come true!”

In another tweet, Hazim, who is also assistant commissioner, Government of Sindh, assured that his enrollment into Harvard does not mean he has to leave his job, or for that matter, Pakistan. “First of all, thank you for all the love and well wishes,” he wrote. “I just want to clarify that I’m not leaving Pakistan nor my job. I will continue to serve my public and I will be attending my classes online.”

Hazim’s educational voyage commenced with a degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from AIU, London, followed by a pursuit of LLB from a distinguished institution in the British capital.

Beyond his academic achievements, Hazim’s eclectic interests in music and fashion have, in the past, propelled him into the limelight. According to his website, he has worked with internationally acclaimed artists such as Jessie J, Future, Ciara, and Nicki Minaj, leaving an indelible mark on the global music scene. His debut single Haram garnered widespread acclaim, resonating with audiences in South Korea, Hungary, Egypt, and India. In 2021, he captivated audiences with his soulful Urdu track Tujhko Bhulaya, amassing over 75,000 views on YouTube.

But Hazim’s impact transcends the realms of entertainment. Deeply committed to social welfare, he champions various philanthropic initiatives aimed at education, environmental conservation, animal welfare, and emergency response programmes in Pakistan. Through his foundation, HBF, Hazim strives to foster positive change by providing vital support to communities in need.

Moreover, Hazim’s altruistic endeavours extend to his collaborations with esteemed organizations such as WWF, SOS, Oceana, Amnesty International, Dar Ul Sakoon, Project Aware, and PETA. His dedication to humanitarian causes underscores his belief in using his platform to advocate for meaningful societal change.

As Hazim embarks on this new chapter at Harvard University, his journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring artists, scholars, and philanthropists alike.
