Actor shares throwback family photos on Instagram, hails father as man who taught him everything

Actor Ali Kazmi marked his father Rahat Kazmi’s birthday with a heartfelt tribute, sharing a series of nostalgic throwback photographs celebrating their close bond and the veteran actor’s lasting influence on his life.

Taking to his Instagram story, Ali posted a collection of cherished family photos, including a childhood picture of himself as a baby in his father’s arms, alongside more recent images of the duo. The photos also featured Ali with both his parents and sister, offering fans a glimpse into family memories spanning several decades.

Wishing the verteran actor on the occasion, Ali paid tribute to “the man that taught me everything.” He added, ‘There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy,’” quoting William Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

Rahat Kazmi is widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s most accomplished actors, television presenters, writers, and academicians. Throughout his career, he delivered memorable performances in several landmark television dramas, including Qurbatein Aur Fasley, Dhoop Kinare, and Teesra Kinara.

He currently teaches English literature, drama, and media science at L’Ecole for Advanced Studies (LAS), where he continues to mentor and inspire aspiring writers, performers, and media professionals.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Ali built a successful acting career across both Pakistani and international film and television industries. He has appeared in popular television dramas such as Jackson Heights and Baaghi, while also earning praise for films including Dobara Phir Se, Beeba Boys, and the critically acclaimed Laal Kabootar.

In 2015, he starred opposite Indian singer and rapper Diljit Dosanjh in the Punjabi blockbuster Sardaar Ji, further expanding his presence in South Asian cinema.
