Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade underwent an angioplasty in a Mumbai hospital after he suffered a heart attack during the shooting of his film, reported Pinkvilla. The Golmaal famed star reportedly collapsed after he left the sets of his upcoming project as he complained of uneasiness and pain.

Talpade, 47, was then rushed to a hospital where he later underwent angioplasty. “He shot through the day, was absolutely fine and joking around with everyone on the set. He even shot sequences that had a bit of action. After finishing the shoot, he went back home and told his wife that he was feeling uneasy. She rushed him to the hospital but he collapsed on the way,” said the source. 

The hospital confirmed, “Shreyas Talpade is admitted. He was brought late in the evening. His health update is awaited,” a source cited by Hindustan Times claimed. Neither the actor nor his team has confirmed or denied the reports. 

According to reports, Talpade was actively involved in the filming of Welcome 3, which features a stellar cast including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Tushar Kapoor in pivotal roles. Joining this ensemble are Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt, both confirmed to be part of the film. 

Warsi expressed his excitement earlier this year, stating to Hindustan Times, “The scale of Welcome 3: the cost, the climax, is unreal. It is an insanely larger-than-life theatrical film which I will be a part of. It has me, Akshay Kumar, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), Paresh Rawal and lots of other people.”

Titled Welcome To The Jungle, Welcome 3 is the latest installment in the Welcome franchise, following the releases of the original films in 2007 and 2015. Notably, the earlier movies featured the iconic duo portrayed by Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor as Uday Bhai and Majnu Bhai.

Scheduled for release on Christmas 2024, Welcome 3 is highly anticipated by fans awaiting another dose of the franchise’s entertainment.
