Shoaib Malik, the seasoned cricketer with the dubious honour of attracting almost as much fame for accumulating wives as he has for picking up wickets, took to Instagram to wish wife Sana Javed a happy birthday with the words ‘Happy Birthday Sana Shoaib Malik’, much to the chagrin of his followers.

To officially mark the occasion, Malik shared three near-identical pictures where he posed clad in a black T shirt next to his wife flaunting a sleeveless blue-and-white floral printed shirt. A bouquet of flowers sat between the happy couple.

The birthday girl herself responded to her husband’s public wishes with a heart emoji. However, whilst the photos have racked up over 150,000 likes since being posted over twelve hours ago, Malik’s followers revealed mixed emotions in the comments section.

With no hint to the world that his marriage with now ex-wife Mirza was over, Malik took social media by storm with the surprise announcement of his marriage to actor Javed in January 2024, who was previously married to actor and musician Umair Jaswal. Malik’s marriage to Javed took place in a simple ceremony in Karachi at the actor’s home. With both Malik and Javed’s respective former spouses themselves public figures, the attention on the couple has been acute, and ever since tying the knot in January, both Malik and Javed have been blasted across social media for the disintegration of their former marriages.
