Prosecutors began their final pitch to the jury that will decide the fate of Sam Bankman-Fried by highlighting the thousands of people who lost billions of dollars in the collapse of crypto exchange FTX.

Almost a year ago, thousands of people were trying to withdraw their investments, their savings and nest eggs from the once-flourishing crypto exchange, Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicolas Roos told jurors in his closing argument Wednesday.
