LAGUNA BEACH, Calif.—Aging leaders of the Republican and Democratic parties should step aside and make room for a new generation, actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Monday.

Speaking at The Wall Street Journal’s Tech Live conference, Schwarzenegger alluded to recent instances of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell freezing and falling silent, without naming him, and said people in that position should “start thinking about stepping aside and letting a newer generation step in and fill the vacuum.”
