The ‘Yes’ campaign for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament has taken inspiration from the 2023 NRL Premiership winners, the Penrith Panthers.

Yes23 Campaign Director Dean Parkin told Sky News Australia he was “not a Panthers fan, I was very much on the Broncos side of the Grand Final”.

“But the comeback that the Panthers staged on Sunday is very much an inspiration to us.”

Mr Parkin’s comments come after Panthers’ superstar Nathan Cleary released a video showing his support for the Voice referendum.

“We’re certainly getting very good feedback on the early polls across the country and that is just strengthening our resolve to go as hard as we can in the last 10 days of the campaign,” he said.
