Shreyanka Patil will take no further part in the T20 Women’s World Cup. She had injured her ankle during India’s match against the Netherlands.
Shreyanka, who had to leave the field after bowling just one ball, has been replaced by the uncapped Prema Rawat. The Event Technical Committee of the World Cup 2026 approved the replacement late on Thursday (June 18, 2026) night.
Prema is uncapped but has impressed with her leg-spin at the WPL for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, besides doing well for Uttarakhand on the domestic circuit. She also recorded some impressive performances for India-A.
India, which has won both its matches, will next play South Africa at Old Trafford, Manchester, on June 21.
