Chhattisgarh on Wednesday (November 12, 2025) informed it had commenced the dispatch of India’s largest-ever copper concentrate consignment to China. The consignment containing 12,000 metric tons of copper concentrate was dispatched from the Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Nava Raipur, with the first rake, carrying 2,200 metric tons, having left for Visakhapatnam Port on Tuesday (November 11, 2025). Thereafter it would be shipped to China.
Reflecting on the development, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai stated, “The dispatch is not just a commercial event (but) a powerful stride towards an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).”
The Nava Raipur MMLP has been suggested as Central India’s gateway to global markets, equipped with advanced cargo handling systems, integrated rail connectivity, and cost-effective multimodal operations.
The entire export operation from the Nava Raipur MMLP is being handled by Hindustan Copper, with shipping agents BOXCO and CJ DARCL. The final shipment to China will board a ship from Singapore-headquartered ONE Line and head to China.
