Robin Singh Relations Cricket Academy, which had its launch event in the city on Wednesday, had announced that TNCA coaches L. Balaji, T. Kumaran, Tanveer Jabbar and trainer Ramji Srinivasan would be part of the academy’s coaching panel. On Friday, RSR CA clarified that Balaji, Kumaran, Tanveer and Ramji would not be associated with the academy in any formal or informal capacity.

The TNCA, too, in a statement issued by secretary R.I. Palani, added: “Their attendance was facilitated at the request of B. Srinivasa Babu, Founder of Valiqa Sports Events and Promoter of the RSR Cricket Academy, which is incorporated in Dubai. These individuals participated exclusively in a photo opportunity as a gesture of goodwill. They have no formal association with the RSR Cricket Academy and are not involved —directly or indirectly — in its establishment, operations or ongoing activities.”
